The November-December session of Freer Form is currently full.

In this online workshop (limited to twelve students), we explore six forms in six weeks: Sonnet, Ghazal, Zen Death Haiku practice, Cento, Duplex, and Palindrome.

No one should intimidate you out of playing with form. It is your birthright to enter these traditions and play inside their generous playground. If you’ve been longing for a place to experiment and grow, while gaining more insight as to the traditions that make poetry poetry, this class is for you.

 

We’re not just looking to get free (a static, perhaps unreachable end state). We’re looking to get freer—freer with each new form, risk, question, and leap.
